Braces for Children, Diagnosis and right time for treatment
- Right time and Age plays a very important role, treating malocclusions in children followed by Retention- Phase to stabilise the achieved results.
- The Orthodontic treatment is divided into 2 phases.
- In Phase 1 we treat:
- Crossbites, malposed tooth,
- Deepbite, spacemaintainer
- undergrowth of upper and lower jaw
- Phase 2: starts at the age of 12, after children lose their deciduous teeth.
- In case of extreme Dysgnathien, malformations of jaws, teeth and masticatory, an attempt should be made to counteract the unfavorable development with preventive measures.
In general we divide the Orthodontic treatment in different phases, starts from 5 Yrs of age, also known as first phase or early age of treatment. to treat malpositions in deciduous and mixed dentition.

Front open bite: reason are: e.g Thumb sucking, Tongue thrusting, wrong swallowing pattern and jaw problems
