1.Cost free First consultation in our office (Kieferorthopädie)

In this first consultation, we discuss following things:

  • your existing chief complaint regarding misalignment of teeth
  • Panorama X–ray discussion 
  • check up for caries, gum problems, Oral hygiene, swallowing pattern, tongue position and misalignment of teeth.

The aim is to find out a best suitable Orthodontic treatment for your teeth:

we will also discuss:

  • Which corrections are needed
  • Difficulty of grad- Treatment needs (IOTN 1-5)
  • Which Treatment option 
    – Fixed braces Metall/Durchsichtige Brackets 
    – Invisalign Clear Aligner Zahnschienen
    – Lingualtechnik-Invisible or hidden braces
  • Cost of treatment and reimbursement from insurances 
  • Approximately time duration of treatment.

2. Documents for treatment and planning

Treatment documents are required for Insurances and treatment planning; Duration 30 Min.

3. Orthodontic treatment plan discussion in details

After calculating X-rays, Fotos and Dental Modells, all possible treatment options will be discussed.

4. Orthodontic treatment start

At this appointment you will get your Appliances. Aligners or your fixed braces.

The fixed braces are placed on your teeth with more precision.

  • On this day, we reserve 40-60 min treatment time for you. Please ensure do come on your appointment. 
  • after receiving your orthodontic appliance, you will get proper instructions on eating habits, oral hygiene and difficulty which you may face in first 3 days.

5. Orthodontic regular visit

Regular control appointments are very necessary during the ongoing treatment

  • in order to assess the development in treatment.
  • We check if your orthodontic treatment is going as it was planned.
  • If necessary new wire may be placed.

Appointments will be made at interval of 4–8 Weeks in advance.

  • we take at regular intervals fotos of your teeth to compare the different stages of  development in your orthodontic treatment.

Note!
The success of Orthodontic treatment depends on

  • good oral hygiene
  • regular check up
  • your cooperation with wearing orthodontic elastics.
  • otherwise it leads to delay in treatment time.

6. End of treatment and Retention phase

Its general tendency of teeth, after completion of orthodontic treatment, the teeth try to move slightly back to their original position or rotate.

That’s why we need to retain or stablise the teeth on their new position either 

  • Fixed retainer-a wire will be fixed on back side of teeth,  definately it is invisible.
  • with removable appliance such as Aligners or another type of removable appliance.
